Maxxi Museum of Creativity
The Maxxi museum of Creativity was opened earlier this year in Rome. Its construction, spanning a little over a decade, is rooted back to the genius of Hadid Zaha. The museum serves as the first Italian museum dedicated to contemporary creativity, arts and culture.
The two museums MAXXI Art and Art MAXII are around a large lobby, with a high-rise that provides access to the galleries dedicated to permanent collections and temporary exhibitions, auditorium, reception, cafeteria and library. Outside, a walkway follows the contour of the building, the restoration of an urban space has been occupied for nearly a century by the former military barracks. Materials such as glass (ceiling), steel (stairs) and cement (walls) give exhibition spaces neutral appearance, while the movable panels allow flexibility and variety exhibition.
In a nutshell, it is jam-packed with innovative ideas and creativity. Check more photos after the break.
