AverMedia recently sent their Live Gamer HD capture card to see how I thought it stacked up against some of the others I’ve used in the past. I won’t have a detailed review available until Aver’s software is aligned with the Xsplit 1.1 software update sometime at the end of the month. Some general specs on the Live Gamer HD:
- Interface: PCI Express
- Compression: Hardware
- Max Resolution: 1080p
- Records PC and Console
- Input/Output: HDMI, DVI and 3.5mm Audio
- Recording Format: H.264
- Software: RECentral
I’ll have a first look video highlighting what’s in the box and how to install the device up within the week. Additionally, I ran a few live streams and captured video this past weekend to run it through some early testing and I’ve embedded those videos below. It’s worth noting that I can upload a video in 1080p if I chose to, but can’t do it via streaming.
Subscriber Sunday (Live Streamed directly to YouTube)
Ghost Recon Gameplay (Captured then uploaded)
