I received word on this pretty cool event from “BoZack.” Some of you may remember that gamertag because Zack is the brains behind eBash, but he loves Gamerscore challenges and 360Voice is the best place for it. The Brotherhood Challenge has $10,000 in prizes and seems like it could be a nice change of pace for some of the strictly multiplayer gamers. If you’re looking to play BoZack is looking for participants on his team (I should note I’m in the group)!
Detailed information on the event can be found after the jump.
Choose to join or create a Brotherhood. The gamerscore you earn playing GoW3 accrues toward the total points of your Brotherhood; top two scoring Brotherhoods win prizes. Any player you recruit into any Brotherhood earns you Recruiter points; top three players with the most Recruiter points also win prizes. Please use your referral link (if you have one) so that the proper recruiter gets credit.
Please, so you don’t get owned by other Cogs, read the RULES AND PRIZING
Rules and Prizing
All participants in this Achievement Challenge understand that 360Voice has no control over the content, quality, or reliability of the GoW3 game and Xbox Live service.
1. HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Visit http://www.360voice.com/gears/ to participate in the 360Voice GoW3 Achievement Challenge (you are probably already here). You will need to have a 360Voice Full membership (registration is free) and an Xbox Live membership (Silver or Gold) to participate. Players will either create or join a Brotherhood (group) to participate in the Challenge. There is a maximum of 40 participants (Cogs), including the creator (Head Cog), in any Brotherhood. A participant may only be a member of 1 Brotherhood at any time.
The Challenge begins at midnight (PST) on September 20, 2011 and ends at midnight (PST) October 20, 2011. Last date to join the challenge is October 7. Last date to switch Brotherhoods is October 10. If the GoW3 release is delayed by Microsoft, we will adjust the duration of the contest and update participants via www.360voice.com. At the conclusion of the challenge:
i) all surviving members of the Top 2 highest ranking Brotherhoods
ii) the 3 Challenge participants who recruited the most other participants (regardless of Brotherhood membership or ranking)
will receive cash prizes in the form of Visa gift cards or Paypal payments.
The accumulated gamerscore (unlocked achievements in GoW3) for all surviving members of a Brotherhood will determine the Brotherhood’s overall score and place in the Challenge ranking. The Brotherhood Leaderboard is publicly available at http://www.360voice.com/gears/
Each individual participant earns 3 points for every Xbox Live Gold player s/he recruits and 1 point for every Xbox Live Silver player s/he recruits. Each recruited Gold participant must have at least 1 point of GoW3 gamerscore to be counted as a valid recruit. Each recruited Silver participant must have at least 50 points of GoW3 gamerscore to be counted as a successful recruit. Individuals earn recruiting points regardless of their Brotherhood’s rank. The Recruiting Leaderboard is publicly available athttp://www.360voice.com/gears/
Brotherhoods may be set as Open or Private by the Brotherhood’s Head Cog (initially, the creator). An Open Brotherhood is available for any registered user to join; Private Brotherhoods require an invitation code. If the Head Cog leaves the Brotherhood, Head Cog powers transfer to longest standing Brotherhood member who then immediately becomes the new Head Cog; alternatively a Head Cog can email <email@example.com> and request to transfer his/her Head Cog powers to another Brotherhood member.
If player earns GoW3 gamerscore with a valid Xbox Live membership before becoming a Challenge participant (ie: player joins Challenge after September 20), then when same player does join a Brotherhood and becomes a Challenge participant, all of his/her accumulated GoW3 gamerscore will accrue to whatever Brotherhood s/he joins.
